Linda then why do you troll around to every single thread on mutiple forms & Facebook bullying people who feel this program is less than awesome? Its like you’re stalking on Laura’s behalf - not saying that’s what you’re doing - but its a question that I was just asked. The appearance is not a positive one. If you do really believe this program is worthy you’d not say a word so this topic would be buried like it was for years… just saying. You just keep giving it life.

Ever read George Orwell’s “1984?” If you did you’d know about the term “double speak.” That would pretty much sum up your last post.
There is a group of about 5 of you girls who keep bringing these topics back to life. For those of us who use the unread posts features, it’s kind of hard to miss.
I suppose the need to keep the record straight is a professional hazard.

Without getting too personal, I know Laura’s feeling are hurt over this. She’s not perfect but the targeting and outright bullying, harassing, and threatening, and outright lying have been beyond the pale. And it is the same group over and over from forum to forum to Facebook group.
I advised her to file charges back when it started, I also think she should still file charges for this behavior.
Even the title of this thread is a big fat lie!

Do consider that you, as the OP who posted that the tax status of SHN Payback had changed in the header of this thread, have perpetuated a lie. And while journalists have some protection from libel claims (malice must be proven) when they make mistakes ordinary citizens do not.
Yes, I will say, if it were me, I’d have already hired a lawyer and letters would have been sent out.

Yes, quite a few are. I think it is better for people to be able to read and see when lies are made up such as the title of this thread and much of its content. Then they can also easily go verify things like SHN Payback being a 501©(5), that 990Ns have been filed, and also to see who exactly is perpetuating lies.

I can’t believe the people posting here trying to put them blame on Peggy. Peggy was booted out 5 or 6 years ago!
I already knew this program was doomed based on the lack of responsiveness from those in charge, the absolute refusal to provide financials as required by law, and the ever increasing problems with payouts (are they even getting paid? We’re now 7 months post SHN and I don’t believe the winners have been paid yet).
But when the two leading ladies in the Arabian world, ladies who have devoted their entire lives to the breed, Bazy Tankersly and Sheila Varian, pulled ALL of their stallions from the program in one fell swoop, I had all the confirmation I needed that the concerns so many have had for so long are justified because I know both of those ladies would support the program (AND HAD BEEN) if things were on the up and up. There is nobody on this earth that would be more supportive of a program that was beneficial to Arabians than those two ladies.

Linda my definition of a troll is someone who hides behind an “alter ego” and writing things that will harm someone. So yes, I meant to use the term Troll when referring to this latest round of posts. Coward works here as well.
Oh my, you’ve hurt my feelings now. And you’ve outed me! Never mind the fact that I’ve used the SAME screen name on EVERY horse forum I participate in and have never hidden my identity over the last 15+ years I’ve been on online forums. I’m a big girl. I don’t try to hide behind a screen name like some. Now excuse me while I go find another profession because apparently a no-named know-it-all thinks I not worth my salt.

In the end, people can participate in this program or not - totally free choice. The Gang of Five (or so) would like nothing better than to destroy the program. Which takes away that choice.
Well, certainly, no one has any questions about who I am. All you need to do is read my signature. There are, however plenty of others posting negativty on this thread who are hiding behind their screen names.

I have to say I am one of the people who got stiffed by Laura Wood. I am out $750 as she refuses to refund me my money in accordance with my stallion contract. At first she didn’t respond at all, when I called her out on Facebook she said she would have my refund at the first of the next month…that was two months ago. After spending nearly nine months chasing her around we filed with the attorney general. Please note if you are a stallion owner in this program you may also be legally liable even though you didn’t pay a cent, why? You are who the contract is with, this is what Laura hides behind she knows in the end it is the stallion owner who ends up paying and then you the stallion owner will have to come after her for the money. Sound fun? Now I will say I have no prior experience with either of the two ladies but the rumor mill is strong and the consensus was it was ran ethically and properly when Peggy ran it. I can’t speak to that personally, just my personal experience with Laura Wood who owes me $750. Please DO NOT BUY from this program as if something goes wrong with mare or stallion SHE DOES NOT CARE.
