Shockwave for neck arthritis?

There was an older thread so wanted some updated info: Who has used shockwave for neck arthritis (C7 I believe, but I know it’s low/near withers). No neuro symptoms, has been injected 2 years ago but top sporthorse clinic when it was found. We were treating a front suspensory branch strain at the time, so it wasn’t clear if the injection was successful. (We kind of treated everything significant while insured).

Horse recovered beautifully from suspensory issue. However, there remains a small hitch in her stride, a subtle ‘offness’ without being visibly lame, and we are trying to get to the bottom of it. Regular vet believes it is the neck arthritis and I’m inclined to agree. Again, no neuro on multiple exams, sporthorse vet agreed. So… back to my original question: who has used it and how successful was it?

There are a few replies on this thread that might be useful: Neck injections vs shockwave

It didn’t do anything for my horse, but he also doesn’t have diagnosed neck arthritis.
