Shopping at the WEG
I bought some WEG logo stuff on line so I would not have to carry it around all day. I may buy one of those walking sticks that fold out to make a little seat for XC day!
Is there a particular website for the WEG logo stuff or is it just scattered throughout retailers’ individual websites?

Well, I’m a bit gun-shy about buying from vendors I don’t know after my World Cup experience. “Bought” a pair of Latigo breeches, and after a myriad of excuses as to why they were never shipped to me including, “Oh, sorry, we sent them to someone else,” I heard the company went bankrupt and I’m $200 poorer. They kept extending excuses until it went beyond what my credit card company could recover. Never again unless it’s a vendor I know, trust and have done business with in the past!
I did have a similar experience with the Tropical Rider booth at Las Vegas WC. I ordered breeches from them, paid with my CC and they told me that they will ship them to me for free, since they ran out of my size. They never shipped them. I called them and they lost the receipt of my transaction… they blamed it on somebody who they hired to work in their booth, that they were not experienced and must of misplaced my receipt and bla-bla-bla… I had to mail them my copy of the receipt and my copy of my CC statement with the charge (if I wanted the same special WC $ deal). It took about 3 months to sort it all out. It was a pain…

So definitely, my advice would be to buy only what you see there and not hope for the refund/exchange much. Some business owners are selling/representing their booths themselves (really cool), but who knows who is manning some of other larger booths (temp help?) and handling your money. At least that was the story with Tropical Rider booth at Las Vegas WC.

I can’t find vendors like Charles Owen, Kerrits, ect. on the lists of retailers. Are they really not going to be at the WEG? I was expecting more ridding apparel/tack. Was I wrong, or am I missing something?

There will definitely be Charles Owen helmets to try on (and purchase) in the Bit of Britain & Dover Saddlery booths!
