No, there are no front “pinch” boots.

Thank you all for the explanations. My boots are plain and just like the open fronts, same brand. They wrap around the fetlock and are open in front, just shorter. There are no blocks or anything on the inside. So I think they are just a different shape of hind boot than the ones that just cover the inside of the fetlock.

Yes, those sound like just normal hinds. I have used both the ones that cover the inside of the fetlock and ones that are open. Unless you buy a boot that is made to affect the horse’s hind end most horses won’t react to hind boots.

I actually had someone ask me if I was using the Doda type boots on my jumper and had to laugh- I’d get jettisoned over his head if he used his hind end with any more vigor!

I have a pair of Eskadron Pro Safe Hind boots that someone gave me years ago. Because of the ridges inside the boot, do they have a “pinch boot” effect? I confess if they do, I haven’t noticed!

I have these Tekna boots (and love them). They have soft, smooth neoprene lining. Unless you’re cracking them mad tight, they should not have any sort of “punching” effect.
