Single Timed Insemination with Deslorelin
The field study was 90+ mares in each group, over several cycles per mare, so a total of 142 cycles total. That’s where the 77% came from.

I agree, it would be helpful to have it broken down further, time-wise.

Ultrasounding once daily should be extremely helpful in narrowing your window; good luck!
Do you know if the same mares were used in each cycle? Because I had always heard a certain % of mares can form a “resistance” to hCg if given mulitple times in one season.

Is there the same risk w/Des? So I’m wondering if they used the same mares & gave them Des. for three straight cycles, it skewed the results because a certain number of mares either didn’t react or reacted slower than they would have with in the first cycle.

Any reference to that?

Again, I think using the timed protocol in it’s strictest sense IS really about playing the odds. Checking q6hrs is not, but we all know THAT doesn’t always work either.

So I guess it depends on" do you feel lucky, punk?" (breeder?)

Those were the same mares, treated over several cycles. Although some mares do seem to form resistance to HCG throughout a season, the same thing has never been shown to occur with deslorelin.

All of breeding is playing the odds, I feel :)!!

I meant to add that all of the information is straight from the deslorelin package insert, which you can find easily on the internet, if you’d like to look at it.
