SmartPak's bad math: "25% off" isn't! Minor update, p. 5

Valleyvet, yes. I just don’t do smartpak any more. Frankly, I love amazon so much, I try to go there first for everything. but Valleyvet is next.
Be careful with Amazon and horse products … I got a shipment of Vitaflex Hoof Master’s blend that was not right at all. I didn’t realize it until I re-ordered the following time from Valleyvet. The Amazon shipment was clump-stuck together, not super bad, but required some stirring to get it back to powder form. The powder was washed out looking. It had no smell to it. After using it down 3/4 of the way, I opened the Valleyvet shipment and what was in that box was much greener, no clumping, had a strong (good) smell to it.

I didn’t try getting my $$ back from AMazon since I had used it all up, but I did try leaving a bad review and they denied it saying that I could only review the product, not the quality of what Amazon chose to send me.

Sounds like a sales tax?
Maybe, though I was never charged tax at time of purchase…

I e-mailed them about my order and apparently the 10% sale only applied to certain items. I don’t remember the banner saying anything about certain items are excluded, but then again it could have and I just didn’t notice it.

Certain items are always excluded because the manufacturer of those items has rules about these things, not because Smartpak does not want to give you a discount.

I understand that certain items are always excluded from sales I just thought I’d let people know what I found out. It would explain why Snugglerug only got .20 off their order.

Was there a link on the SP page that listed what brand/items were excluded? If there was I missed it.

If you click on the Memorial Day Sale advert in the e-mail, it goes to a page with details about the sale. At the bottom, there is a blurb about the conditions of the sale and a list of all of the excluded brands (which are virtually ALL of them)

I was going to put in an order for the Memorial Day sale and ended up only getting about $1.00 off the products, since most were not included in the sale and the others were SP products. It ended up not being worth it to me to order.

I didn’t get any e-mail from them. I only knew about the sale because I saw the banner on SP website.
