So tell me about POAs

I’m new here but had to say something! I was over in the dressage discussion about Colonial Spanish horses (Spanish Mustangs) a few days ago and the topic of size came up. I am almost 5’9 and leggy and own ( and sell) many Colonial Spanish horses that are under 14.2 hands. Some of the funnest ones to ride are in the 13.2-14 hand range. Many of these little horses have full sized horse strides, but the best thing they have are brains. Not pony brains, but horse brains. No funny stuff, no hidden agenda, good sensible horses in a small package. I don’t care if I look big on my ponies, they are so easy to handle in the woods and over obstacles that big horses have a harder time with. Last fall I did my first 30 mile CTR on my 5 year old 14.2 hand gelding. It was great. So if your looking for small, hardy, and reliable horse, check out the Colonial Spanish horses. They are hidden treasures. Oh, and did I mention very affordable?

Have fun,

Stephanie

Well, here’s news!

I’m trying to arrange a day to go up and see him. We’ve rain predicted this weekend, so it’ll likely be next week, sometime.

His owner also was the one to suggest a trial, so if I like him up there, I’ll probably bring him back down to my barn for a while, see what he’s like away from home.

Thats great! Even nicer that the owner will let you have him a trial.
He’s such a cutie, I hope it all goes well with him. Keep us posted…
