I’m surprised they said you get it in June. I cancelled my order when they told me it wouldn’t be shipped out until August hopefully. Maybe later. They don’t really know when they’re going to be able to ship it.
What is the price for a complete solo shot 3?

With the tripod stand which is extra, around $800.00
Ohh that’s not a bad price

Suzy,
I ordered the SoloShot3 which now has the indoor capability. Based on the feedback from other threads with the new features, I think the SoloShot is a better value. The Pixio is quite expensive and the camera doesn’t seem as nicely integrated.
I am anxious to use it and only wish that I didn’t have to wait until June :D
I preordered the SoloShot3 last year and I’m excited to receive it. “They Say” that the set up should be rather quick.

I pre-ordered, but I did not purchase the tripod stand. I know I can get that MUUUUUCH cheaper by buying it independently.

J-Lu,
Have they given you a ship date indication recently?
I am leaning toward the Pixio. Available mid May. $1300 for total package including camerahttp://www.movensee.com/pack-solo-rtf625.html

“Maybe” available mid-May. I ordered mine in March 2015 with delivery promised September 2015 and I still haven’t received it yet, nor have they given me the refund I have been requesting so I can pre-order the Soloshot 3. Extremely poor communication and many broken promises on ship dates. If you check out their Facebook page and Indiegogo page (through which I purchased the product), you will see many unhappy customers. Only a fabled few seem to have received the item so far. It blows my mind that they continue to advertise and promise prompt shipping when they obviously know they cannot deliver.

Thanks for sharing Nottingham, I can only imagine how irritated you are. I was hesitant to buy from an overseas vendor on something costing $1000+ and sadly the concern seems valid. I really hope you get your money back ASAP and that you have a better experience with the SoloShot3.
I have decided based on the experiences of everyone, not to count on a specific date and when it gets here I will be happy
I pre-ordered a Pixio. Customer service told me in mid-March that they would ship in the 2nd half of April. I can’t wait to get it!!!
I also looked into the SoloShot3, which according to their customer service agent will not be available until August. The deciding factor between the two for me was that with the SoloShot3, in order to video indoors, you need to buy an optional indoor accessory AND the indoor tracking range with the indoor accessory is only 5-100 feet, so they recommend setting up the camera in the middle of the arena, which doesn’t work too well for dressage. Being in Canada, we ride indoors quite a bit, so I need that functionality.
Also, my video camera is not fully compatible with the SoloShot3, but is compatible with the Pixio, so I would also need to purchase their camera.
One downside of the Pixio for shooting indoors is that you have to set up 3 beacons around your shooting range, whereas this is not required with the Soloshot3.
Hope this is helpful!
Lisa

Well I ordered one, I understand it won’t be delivered until June. I will post some feedback after I get it and start using it. I figure that it will pay for itself, when I can record my classes at the horse shows vs paying the videographer for 5-6 classes.
Did you order it from the Soloshot website (they’re offering a 21% discount for pre-ordering). How would you start it up if you wanted to record your lesson?
Would you have to have someone on the ground to power it up or is there a remote that you can carry to start it up once the lesson starts?
My last email from them said they are shipping in ‘Summer’. I’m hoping it’s USA summer and not ours! (Australia - we’ve just had ours!)
Pippigirl, I can start/stop my video recording from the tag with the soloshot2, so I’m assuming the same control will be available for the 3.
I’ve been using the soloshot2 for a while, but I’ll be interested to hear what the Pixio is like Twinmommy.

Yes I ordered from the website, I got a little bit better of a discount. The discount apparently decreases as time gets closer to shipping.

I hope you are right with the shipping. I ordered mine mid-March over a year ago and they are telling me the same thing. So far only people who ordered January 2015 have received theirs. There is a whole year of backlog to get through!
I ordered the Soloshot3 last week, and they gave me a delivery date of August or September.

No, they said “sorry not spring, but summer”…after a bunch of marketing stuff explaining how well the manufacturing is going. No ship date.

They offer a decreasing discount as shipping approaches. Apparently, the band that you wear that identifies you (what the camera is tracking) has controls for start, stop, zoom, etc.
Just ordered a Pixio, because I need the indoor capabilities. They said that they thought they’d be caught up to current orders in six weeks, so I am hoping to get mine by the end of May. I hope…

I’ve been curiously following this thread, but thanks to that I think I’ll be going with Pixio.
