If those don’t work, the treads on futis are pretty good - like ribbed soles on boots - and they’re easy to take on and off. I’ve done galoshes and they’ll be better traction than your leather soles but not tons. I never took them off for riding - are you kidding? I remember that being the old pony club rule, but we bought extra larges and put heavy wool socks over our boots, then topped that with galoshes for riding in the super cold. Trust me, they’re not that sticky in stirrups. Ribbed soles alone are much stickier.
