Spin-Off: Who Uses a SaddleRight Saddle Pad?

Thanks for all the information, guys! I’m seriously considering buying one… not that I have the money to do that right now, but what else is new?

I feel like buying one would actually be an investment, vs. a frivolous purchase… if anybody else has more info they’d like to share, please do! I’m open to being enabled

I was inspired by this thread and ordered one.

They are manufactured in the US by two people.

I requested that they say a prayer ffor my horse while making it.

I was told they would.

found this on ebay, reminded me of this thread. I am not affiliated with this auction in any way

Reviving this thread. Any newly converted SaddleRight users? Any long-time users want to sing the gospel? Why did you start using one? What do you like/dislike? I’d love to hear any and all feedback. Thanks!

I recently started using one again, this time under my treeless saddle. It provides enough spinal clearance to keep my horse comfortable and yet doesn’t make me feel perched. I bought a used pad from a Facebook Group that specializes in them.

Because my treeless saddle is a Sensation Western Sport, I bought a Western Barrell Pad. Turquoise! love the color but in the past, when I used one with an English saddle, I had saddle leather rather than suede. I think the leather looks nicer over the long term, but doesn’t impact performance.

Still have mine coming up on 20 yrs old…still looks good and hasnt compressed.

My RideRite bad is 15 years old. My daughter and I had to share it. Now that she’s has moved away I still IU use it even though “our” horse has a “dippier” back than my he had 10 years ago. The RideRite not so good on 5 your old OTTB—a ThinLine Bare back pad better for his developing back—looks way ghetto though.

I had the same experience. Picked up a Saddle Right leather-half pad at a tack swap meet and I just could not get it to work on my OTTB’s back. It kept “tenting” instead of conforming properly to the withers and back. I was so bummed because I know people absolutely adore their leather half pads and they last forever.

The Butet leather half pad looks like it has a more forgiving set up for shark fin withers.
