Just one more thing to factor into the decision, I’m sorry to say.

I keep checking the USEF site to see if the list is up yet. Tick, tock…
I do too. Trying to figure out whether here or Twitter is the best place to find it first!
With the same kind of thinking, Beezie could bring Via Volo and Simon.
I would be very surprised if they took Simon at this point.

I don’t do Twitter. Too newfangled for me!

If it turns up there, could you please re-post it here?

Sure will. But I do have to take a shower & get dressed at SOME point!:lol::lol:

Since you don’t tweet… Reed rather adorably tweeted that she couldn’t sleep last night waiting… We’re not the only ones clicking the “Refresh” button!

This will probably be what happens if possible. Especially given what she’s said about Mika being incredibly sensitive. Will be nice to get him over there and see how he comes off the plane.
I don’t think flying will be a problem for Mika. Reed’s shown him in Europe before without a problem. If the selectors can put both of Reed’s horses on the short list I’m sure they will. It’ll be nice to see how they both perform in Europe.
How much do y’all reckon the selectors are stressing about which ones might sue if they don’t make the cut?

(Some of you are too young to remember that segment in our ongoing saga of charming conduct by prospective Olympians.)
I’m probably not too young, but I am not American, and so wasn’t aware of that happening in the past. Who was it?

Debbie Dolan.

Yeah, I would too. But Simon did do better than Cortes did so they might want to see him in Europe. I think Via is a better choice for Beezie though.

Hard to believe it was so long ago until you see the dates on the news articles!

Actually I thought it was earlier than that!

I wonder if USEF is going to hold off on the announcement until after the Dressage championships are over, in order not to steal any shine from the DQs? Wish they’d get ON with it!!!

The teams have already been named though, so hopefully not!

Wow! I suppose she is used to money buying her dreams.

Oh, yeah, I didn’t mean a conflict as to team news; I just meant that most of the equestrian press are still there covering the Intermediaire (sp?).

Who knows, all I know is that I wanna know bad! haha. I’m like a kid who can’t sleep before going to Disney Land

Yes, it’s one of those things that seems fresh in the memory but also a million years ago!

If I stopped to think about it, I would remember that it was between the Olympics in Seoul and Barcelona, based on the effect it had on the team selection in 1992.

No Gem Twist at Barcelona, since he stopped at the water jump at Devon that year. I wonder what I could do if I didn’t use up brain cells on storing information like that?

I asked a friend in the know and he said he thinks they will annouce it at 1pm Spruce Meadows time, so I think that is 3pm ET

Thanks. That would make sense. I certainly hope it’s no later than that, I’ve got to leave for the barn and get the Mudbucket cleaned up for his early a.m. vet appointment tomorrow! (Yes, it WILL take that long.)

Debbie Dolan.
OMG - I haven’t seen that name in ages - and had no idea what she did after college! Must pass this on to another fellow rider turned hausfrau…

My dream team is:

Rich/Flexible
McLain/Antares F
Reed/Cylana
Beezie/Via Volo

Alternate:
Charlie/Chill R Z

All these dream teams are forgetting Margie, who did win (co-win) the first series of selections with Reed… Just pointing that out…
