Squee!!
Just finished my morning with Cash – sorry, no photos. We were not allowed to take photos at the school, so those will have to wait until he gets home!
I did hear the instructor telling the kids that Cash’s new owner was coming today, and everyone sighed sadly. I may be the most hated person there, with one girl stating that she did not like me at all … ha ha! She does not even know me, but I am taking Cash away and this makes everyone sad (except me!). I take this as a good sign.
We have him completely outfitted with well-fitting tack. He will go in Elijah’s bit and bridle, King’s saddle and gel pad, and Eli’s long (52-inch) girth. No pressure, Cash, but those are some mighty big hooves to fill!
He seemed a bit reactive when I took him out to the arena, looky-loo-ing at everything, so we did some ground work first. After about 30 minutes, he settled down and we had a lovely ride.
He is scheduled to ship home Oct 1st, Brookledge will be picking him up. So, the good news is the tack fit … the bad news is, no tack shopping! LOL
In all, a very very happy day!

What reason do they give for not being able to take photos of your own horse? I am confused by this.
No tack shopping means there is extra money to spend on fun stuff for the new guy.
They have just have a no-photos policy at the school because of the students. I probably could have pressed and said I’m only taking photos of my horse, but I just left the camera and cell phone in the office.
He is at a public school here that is sort of like a vo-tech school, preparing students for careers in the horse industry.
It was not a big deal to me, everyone is so nice and I am so excited, I did not push it.
So squee happy for you! Can’t wait to see the handsome boy!
SQUEEEEEE!!! for you & Cash
What you mean “no tack shopping”, Willis?
Surely YOU need some new breeches or something & Cash needs his very own halter w/nameplate. stall plate, etc.
My Squeee:
At 66yo I just bought myself a 2yo mini who will be my Driving Pony.

Next month he goes to the trainer & then comes home to live with my Gang of 2.
Never too late to start something new, right?
