Stallions for a Ferro/Regazzoni mare

Based just on pedigree (as I haven’t seen the mare yet), what stallion lines would you cross over a Ferro/Regazzoni mare? She is on the smaller side so could do with a little height. I believe she is also a bit on the hotter side, so something that might tone that down a bit. I don’t have any more info on her conformation etc at this stage so of course it’s purely an academic exercise, but interested to hear what pops into your head…

I’ve now had a look at the mare and even using my most critical eyes I can’t see too much that needs improving - a nice problem to have! She’s pretty hot though, so would like to tone that down a bit. She has positive energy and apparently always uses it in an honest way under saddle but tension would be her downfall in the competition arena. Any suggestions? I’m thinking of Furstenball…

I am a huge Furstenball fan, have LOVED the ones I’ve ridden, but would definitely not go with Furstenball if you’re looking to tone down a hot mare. In my experience, he tends to add sensitivity. Though his offspring are generally very soft, elastic, and rideable, I’ve known a couple who are definitely not “ammy horses”, in spite of being quite dreamy for the right (quiet and tactful) rider. I’ve also known a couple who were perfectly suited for the average ammy, but they were not out of hot mares.

There are two young mares (4 yrs old) at our barn by Sir Gregory that are owned by a BNT who started them and who now has them going under saddle. Their temperaments are lovely - quiet, agreeable, easy to be around, and quick learners.

Farrington goes realy well will Ferro. Also, could suggest Schroeder. Super super offspring and goes well with a hot mare.

It is hard to suggest without knowing the type of your mare, but I love Diamond Stud. The filly I got from him last year was one of the quietest, easiest foals I have ever had, as well as being a beautiful mover. He stands at Dreamscape Farm.
