I’ve always thought sidesaddle was totally cool. Could I give it a try on any horse? Does the horse need any “preparation” before trying sidesaddle?

Through some research I’ve learned that it’s a very bad idea to buy a cheap sidesaddle so I’m going to wait until I’m able to get a really good, old name one from a reputable seller. [/QUOTE]
I was recommended 'the best person back east would rebuild a sidesaddle rebuild if you sent him a tree. I purchased a good rebuildable from an old name maker and he rebuilt it, sold it to someone he knew threw together something not fit for anyone to ride on a too small, broken, unrepaired tree and shipped that to me.
PM me on what not to do. I’ve made every mistake out there at one time or another.
Speaking of SS
Does anyone know of a good repair person? Needs leather work and re-stuffing. I tried bring it to one saddle fixer but he would not touch it because he thought it was worth a lot of money antiquity wise.
Where are you located? There are several saddlers around the country.
Anywhere in NE would work for me. I just want someone good.
Thanks!!
