you know, healthy dogs don’t really smell at all, nor do they leave “body odor” behind in bedding unless they blew their anal glands or rolled in something gross and transferred it to your bedding, in which case I suggest throwing out the bedding if a simple washing won’t remove whatever gross material it was.
If your dog has an obvious body odor that lingers in bedding there’s something wrong with your dog- usually the culprit is being fed an unhealthy low-quality grain-based diet, but sometimes other things, like skin infections, ear infections, or mouth problems, can cause lingering odors.
