Stop it with the "heart horse" thing. No, really. Stop it.

I thought that DD was designated driver for a very long time. I was worried about the high rates of alcohol use on this board.

Really late to this conversation but-
When I read DD or DH, I thought it was used rather “tongue in cheek”.
(probably because I have one of each)
And when I read heart horse, I guess I am not a fan as it sounds kind of juvenile to me. Don’t really care either way though
To each his own…
Only during peak troll hours.

Well alright then.

Please carry on, this is the “interwebz” and you can do whatever you like, after all!
I think this is where I now take offense to you putting interwebz in quotes, which suggests some sort of dislike or disdain of my word choice.

And that’s not fair! Using interwebz makes me happy! You are not allowed to suggest, comment, or otherwise in any manner whatsoever question my use of the term. You are supposed to understand that using it makes me happy and keep silent on your opinion of it in case your less-than-100% embracement of a word I use makes me unhappy!

Do you see how ridiculous this is?

People use terms that they know may not be 100% acceptable to everyone around them. They use the terms that make them happy. That’s FINE.

It’s also FINE if others want to question those terms or otherwise make it clear that they don’t like them.

It’s what happens in a varied and complex world where we are not all emotional clones with the same values and preferences.

I defend to death your right to put quotes around interwebz, just as I defend to death my right to use it anyway.

I find your reply absolutely fascinating - thank you. I got the answer I was looking for, among many others among this thread.

Everyone can say whatever they want but people in this thread are telling others to stop saying them and calling the people who use those terms names.
It is fine to dislike the phrase but to dictate no one says them or to dislike the people who use the phrase and call them names is just mean.

“Mommy” anything makes me want to kill.

Yeah some of the DDs on this board seemed way too young to be driving drunk people around.

No…they’re just saying they don’t like them, and why they don’t like them. It’s ok for people to disagree. That’s why they make chocolate and vanilla.

Love this!!!

I agree the majority of posters are just speaking of not liking the words or phrases but here and thede in this thread are posts that are not.
