Strange horse ads

I was “told” by a horse I’d taken lessons on that I’m a nice person, but I bounce too much.

Yes, I “believe” in animal communicators but not that everyone who hangs out their shingle as one actually is, that they’re any good at it, or that the animal in question (or being questioned) actually feels like “talking” to them.

I also believe that any half-decent horseman is an animal communicator, to some extent, and that we’re all much more “psychic” than we realize. How many things do you know that you, realistically, have no way of knowing?

He very much enjoys it! Our “trail rides” involve me sitting up there bareback and him steering. He goes where he wants. When I explained this to the trainer, he said “well, he wants to go to the feed room, that’ll be a short ride.” Not really. Some days he wants to go across the street to visit the neighbor donkeys. Some days he wants to go into the woods and play in the creek. And some days he wants to go park by the ring and watch the equitation kids. Well, not watch. Judge.

He speaks very good English and he told me this is what he wanted! In the vein of horses cussing, he is also fluent in Irish; and although he is surrounded by people who do not speak his native tongue, when the situation warrants he makes himself quite clear.

I’ve always thought with those horses there’s an underlying physical or training issue that people just haven’t cracked, making the horse unhappy or dangerous under saddle, so they give up on trying.

I imagine when or if someone actually inquires about the horse then they will get all the details. Maybe the ad is worded like that for a reason? Might get more inquiries that way.

That’s a good point.

Not only will I cuss, but I’ll solemnly swear to tell nothing but the truth***.

***truth is subjective

I have heard that used by reputable people and I get the saying. A very good trainer told her client when the horse had repeated issues on cross country and then refused to leave the gate, “He’s telling you he doesn’t want to do this anymore”.

Given the amount of people scratching their heads over my boys issues I am seriously thinking that getting a communicator to just ask him would be a lot quicker…
