Ditto. Except my horse has popper pads all around because he is older and benefits from the pads. I really like the tiny drive in ice studs. I trail ride all winter long and have found it provides the best traction for the icy conditions we get here in CT. He also lives out 24/7 so I don’t want him slipping around.
They are basically studs that the farrier drives into the shoe so they are on 24/7 unlike the usual threaded studs that you put on/remove.
Mine are tiny ice studs. They are much smaller and flatter than the studs I have for XC/Grass.
I have used borium front and back in the past but now I use tiny drive in studs . I have a horse that really needs shoes year round, there are some that do if they are going to be in work at all.
