I just got my application approved for the Makeover and the horse I was looking at was sold the same day. Any lesser known places to look for prospects? I need a big gelding and don’t have a huge budget. I know about CANTER, FL, New Vocations, etc. I’m just not finding taller horses right now. Thanks!

No real idea for your area, but maybe check out local FB groups? I see several a day that are advertised as RRP eligible.

Highflyer- thanks, I do check out several facebook groups. It is frustrating because they get snapped up so quick! I see a lot more advertised in your neck of the woods than down here.
If you’re in Kentucky like your location suggests, Paulus Racing and Performance TB’s group on Facebook moves a TON of RRP eligible horses for reasonable prices.

Why wait until ‘one comes up?’ Make the contact, go through the meet and greet, and get on the contact list. That is how they ‘move really really fast.’
I’m with Saskatoonian and xitmom. My first call would be to Jen Ruberto (Wire to Wire) and then my second would be Jessica Redmond (Benchmark). Both are on COTH, too, but don’t post as often anymore.
babecakes - I was just referring to that particular facebook page. She has a first come, first served policy…no favoritism. But her prices are reasonable and she has a lot of followers so the two I wanted were gone before I could get out of my morning meeting and make the call.
