You know, when I was in Cambridge…New England Confectionary Company let in the low life public people like myself every Friday from 1-2 PM to get their seconds at a vastly reduced rate. Can we check into a similar policy for JustBorn?

So, we would go in there, and say, “Hey - where are your absolutely FRESHEST peeps?” And they’ll say, “Well, we have a bunch of boxes, but they’re stale.” And we will look sad, and dispirited, and say, “Oh. Oh, well.” And then they will say, “How about ten cents the box?”

I can remember days when the wind was just right, and we could smell not only the NECCO factory, but the Wise Potato Chip factory… ah… one could gain weight just standing outside and breathing.
But I had no idea it was possible to go to NECCO and pick up seconds. Perhaps that didn’t start until after I was long gone. (I was there back when Moses wore jods & garters.)
I used to “inhale breakfast” when I worked on a loading dock between a coffee company and a bread factory. mmmmmmmmm!
