I just went back to the first two pages of this thread and re-read them. It made me a little sniffly and verklempt. I now feel the need to wax poetic. I do hope that my poetic waxing is not perceived as, um, blasphemy. :uhoh:
In the beginning, BeastieSlave posted something no one wanted to talk about.
The post was without form and void and whiteness was upon the face of the page. BeastieSlave moved upon the face of the page and replaced the text with a wee “**”
And BeastieSlave said, let there be nothing but the wee “,” and there was nothing but the wee “.”
But flogarty saw the wee “**” and saw it was GOOD! And posted a small, incomplete ascii face.
And Percheron X saw the small incomplete ascii face, and saw the post needed to be made horse related and made a Horse Face.
And the Geek called the Horse Face “GOOD!” And Percheron X made the Horse Face eat and sleep and jump and drink.
Pony Person saw the Horse Face and said it was “GOOD!,” but I can do better. And Pony Person called her creation “horsie.”
And PercheronX saw the horsie and the creative forces of heaven and earth spewed forth from her brain: “Let horsie RUN! Let horsie BALK! Let horsie run over Jazzrider!” And the Geek saw it was “GOOD!.”
And Risk-Averse-Rider saw PercheronX’s horsies and said it was “GOOD!” But I can make them MOVE. And she did. And the Geek saw it was “GOOD!”
And PercheronX saw the moving horsie was good, but too hard for the rest of us to copy, so she added EMOTICONS and David O’Connor under a picnic table. And the Geek saw it was “GOOD!”
And thus Percheron X created horsie art in the image of the demands of her audience. And the CoTHers blessed them, and said, please PercheronX, be fruitful and multiply your horsie art!
And PercheronX saw it was good. But she was tired and needed to make dinner. And so she rested from all the work she had made.
