How funny would it be if a horse had a tattoo like that AND was a chestnut mare?

OK…here’s my dilemma:
Fixerupper’s last ‘fixerupper’:
16’1 cute as a button mare

Grew to 17’1 very awkward mare

spent the time…waited…worked…waited…worked… mare finally found her balance…
A lovely young couple (rider/trainer) who helped the mare through her awkwardness made an offer to buy her…perfect home…they love her, understand her, value her…more horse than they could otherwise afford. I gave them a more than reasonable price and a very reasonable timeline to buy her. Seven months later, no money has changed hands. I have pressed (lightly) for a payment schedule…no response. I have another trainer (also a lovely young person) - who moved my second to last fixerupper to a great home… has a client who could suit this mare. I am feeling bad about taking the mare from the original couple, as they have put some work into her over the winter, but she is NOT a give away.
I do know what the answer is, really…but let me know how you think I should handle this…???
Cash in hand gets the horse… really. If they really really wanted her they would have pd something already. And if going to an equally well suited and good home the one that ponies up the money gets the horse. But that is JMHO.
At work so no time yet for stick art… darnit… but may have fodder after my lesson on my horse Tues for the first time in 2 months… should be interesting
Ya, I know that really… just wishing it was otherwise…
Aww FU - 'splain it to couple #1 like you 'splained it to us and I think they will understand. Economy in the toilet and all.
Good luck.
Yes, that is pretty much how halter leading goes with her. I am lucky to have not been kicked or have my face smashed as she flings herself around. Saturday she only threw herself down once, but she walked out to the arena where the girls were riding her momma at a walk, we went all around the barn, stopped and picked all four feet. She is slowly coming along.
I have lost 30 pounds so far since January…
OK, here is what you do with a cute farrier. Wait until he has a front hoof picked up between his legs, pinch him on the butt, then holler at the horse “No, Snookums! No nipping!” ;)
Now none of my farriers are what I would call cute, but one of them is looking to home a couple of dogs he has and he brought them to the barn yesterday so one of my customers could look at them. The momma is a Queensland Blue Heeler, the daddy (get ready for this) is half Shitzu, 1/4 wiener dog and 1/4 Chihuahua. They call him a “Dachshitahuahua.”
The two puppies from the litter are absolutely cute, the boy looks like a corgi with blue heeler coloring, the girl looks like a schausher wiener dog with blue heeler coloring, kind of spaniel-y looking actually. I wish I could have another dog, I would take her!
SO glad I put my drink down before reading this!:lol::lol:

Whooot for me!!! I had my first lesson on my horse today after 2 months and it went well!!!
He was such a good boy for me he is out of shape a bit (but I have him back in training now and with my daughters lessons my lessons and trainer he will be ridden at least 4 times a week so we will have him back in shape in no time.
We did a few jumps and he was so good. New trainer likes him as well. I even coaxed my friend who gave him his witness relocation home get on him. She had never ridden a TB or a horse over 15 hands so climbing on him at 17.1 hands was like climbing Mt Everest for her:lol:
She walked him… and I ran with him so she could feel his trot she is used to riding gaited so the bouncyness of his trot threw her off a bit but he was a very very good boy for her. When she slid off she was like “That is a loooooong way down”:lol:
He was very relaxed and happy. He loves his new home and we had a great first lesson back. I am soo very excited.

How HLs friend said she felt on her horse…
One funny thing was that my trainer complimented me on finding the distance to one of the fences she said " Wow you saw that distance three strides out… you’re doing great!"
It was then that I told her that… ummm. …well… it wasn’t me it was the horse that saw it… I just stayed out of his way…:uhoh: Then as if to prove a point tried to do it myself and …well let’s just say chip is a 4 letter word:lol: I then had to announce that that was what happened when I tried to tell my guy how to do his job:lol::lol::lol::lol: He’s wayyyyy smarter than I am and I am ok with that.
That’s great that it went so well!:)
That’s how I feel when I get on a TB. This is how I feel after I get off my QH

I’m supposed to be all excited because I sold Tally Go and she’s to go to her new home in SC on Friday. But I’m bummed. She’s so sweet that she makes the whole barn sweeter. Even very bossy Boudicca loffs her. But I’m supposed to sell her so I can go back to the sale and get another tb, sell that one, get another, sell another, get another, sell another, ad infinitum. So that’s what’s happening at Far Country Farm.
