I wish I could report more positive news but after introducing jumping, he came back sore on that same injury. Vet said he would only be able to flat and do light work so I did a shock wave treatment and he’s out in a field for 6 more months. I am gutted but glad to know our limitations.
I still believe that beyond the initial injury, pasture rest is the way to go. I’m sorry to read about your horse! These injuries are heartbreakers!

My horse is at the one year mark. He is better but still has subtle grade 1 lameness. And the fetlock has dropped a little on the side of injury.
