Sweet Billy's Bits - Buyer experiences - looking for good leather bit

Has any one purchased a leather bit from the maker Sweet Billy’s Bits? I recently borrowed a leather bit to try on my horse and he LOVED it so I am now looking for the best place to get one. The one I borrowed was old but still in great condition but the person couldn’t remember where they had gotten it from. Any experiences with this seller, or suggestions for places to find a bit would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I purchased a rolled leather bit from Sweet Billy’s Bits a few months ago. I really like it. It shows hardly any wear but it broke in and molded to my pony’s mouth shape in one ride. I’m getting ready to purchase a Pelham version next!

Following! I recently found out that my hot and sensitive jumper goes beautifully in a leather 3-ring elevator

I previously had a horse that had a history of mouth abuse and a leather bit was the only thing she was even remotely comfortable in. The one I bought was from Winterpast Farm and both the horse and I really liked it. https://squareup.com/market/winterpast-farm/

I chose the Winterpast bit over the Sweet Billy bits because they were rolled and therefore had less hard edges or stitching to rub or be uncomfortable. However, the Winterpast ones come in fewer options than the Sweet Billy ones.

Thanks for the feedback, I think I will likely bite the bullet and order one from Sweet Billy’s Bits. Thanks for the link to the Winterpast bits, they look exceptionally well made however unfortunately do not seem to have the style I am looking for.

I have a leather bit from Trust that I really like. Can’t speak to the vendor mentioned.
