IDK someone here in my area that does it said it’s sprayed, maybe they were mistaken on the brand.
We had the epoxy type of flooring done in our garage. If you go this route, be sure you or the person applying it uses enough of the “flake” to give you the non slip surface you want. The entry to our garage has extra grip, the interior has less. Which is great for cleaning, smooth surfaces are easier to wipe down / mop, but they are also slick.
I did LVP in my tack room. I chose a type for the wood look, but it was smoother in finish. This particular product scratches REALLY easily. I would not use it in a place that has abrasive sand being tracked in.
If you have a block foundation, there is a type of paint that you can get in lots of colors that will keep the moisture from seeping through the block. Our floors and barn aisle don’t sweat because I had a vapor barrier added before the concrete was poured. I was just going to have it done for the tack and feed rooms, but the contractor said it’s not expensive, you may as well do the whole thing.
My tack room & feed room were poured concrete. Both are behind doors. I left the feed room bare concrete but the insulated tack room has a different floor. I put down 2x2s, plywood, then laminate on top. Like it lots better than bare concrete. In my other barn I did the same thing for the tack room but put down rigid 1/2" insulation, treated plywood then laminate for the feed room.
I just saw an epoxy garage floor the other day. The color was lovely but the high traffic areas were very worn, right down to the concrete. I’ll skip the epoxy.
I think I’ll go with a textured tile. Currently, all the professionals renovating our tack room seem to be busy with other projects do I think I have a little bit of time to shop.
