These suggestions have been super helpful! I’ve been able to narrow down my research a bit and am now just trying to decide if I want to be going to school as we head into a probable recession. I’m also a bit far from the bigger schools so am looking into programs at the smaller/community colleges near me. I just wish schools made their course requirements and admittance dates easier to find!
I’ve been WFH since 1992. Started as a programmer and software designer, then moved into digital marketing.
I’ve been running my own agency since 2014, and my staff are all over the US.I’ve never met most of them in person, but we talk every day on Slack and have weekly staff meetings on Zoom.
This is probably not a direction you’re interested in, but I am in-house counsel for a product company. Since COVID, I’m been WFH nearly 100% of the time. In the office right now for the first time in a year.
I’m a Creative Director (currently looking for a new remote position if anyone has leads!) I drive branding and campaign efforts, hire and lead teams of designers (digital and physical), and concept and direct photo and video shoots. It’s a 9-5 with some extra hours but flexibility due to Covid.
I compete one horse in eventing (recognized) and the job has paid for that.
At this stage in my career I’m not looking to change gears although if someone offered me a job flying around the world and writing horse adventure articles I’d do it immediately
my son does the same for mostly the fashion industry… he does travel the world
