I’m running into an issue buying new tires and rims for my 1987 Logan trailer as the tires it came with are too large. I currently have 205’s on it and had a de-treading due to 1) not rotating the tires and 2) the tires being too large and rubbing on the hubs when loaded. I’m looking for a heavy duty tire set for a 195 but am having the hardest time finding anything with a high enough ratings for what I have. Has anyone had luck finding smaller LT tires or small tires that are rated for higher speeds and heavier weights?
For my trailer, I have extra thick tires since I also use my Ram for off-road. I use this hitch https://www.allmoparparts.com/sku/82214742.html for towing so the tires I use are not the average one. Question is do you guys lifted your truck and the same time use that for towing? Because from what I know the tires that I should use would be different.
After my friend went off the road she learned that you have to use trailer tires, not light truck tires which were on her trailer when she bought it.
