I have always used the bubble pads and just their regular shoes. My young horse developed sore soles from the bubble pad when I put him in them. :no: We switched him over to the snow rim pads and he already has little traction things on his shoes for when we have to go on pavement. They worked great last year, although we didn’t have much snow and ice compared to previous years.
