Talk to Me of Tails

Be very careful with MTG. You can burn the heck out of them using it–don’t ever put it on just before turn-out if you live in a sunny area.

It is decidedly not in my horse care armory here in the High Southwest!

I keep my horses tails banged a bit on the shorter side because I think it looks very smart and saucy~ like my horse. Keep it well showsheened and NEVER EVER brush except the very ends and for shows. Even the skimpiest tail grows fuller with banging and not brushing. You can go to the extreme and start banging quite short at the end of show season and then just trim the ends. I think brushing tears out too much hair.
