A friend just bought the Riding Sports from Dover and I was pleasantly surprised at their quality for under $200.

Same here…in my head, I always pronounced it “hor-zah” which is maybe how it is pronounced in Finnish and why they went with it? Or maybe I am just dense
Perhaps those of you who are “in the know” can educate us “slower” folks. Husband has to translate “double entendre” jokes…so I admit that I haven’t got a clue. I always thought it was a terrible brand name.
As far a cheap tall boots…I always like to look for consignment places.
Horse is pronounced with a ess sound for the ‘s’.
Whores is pronounced with a zed sound for the ‘s’.
So the spelling Horze sounds not like the singular of horse but the plural of whore.
It’s just really really an odd brand name to me. Not even an double entendre or anything, just a straight homophone situation.
Color me clueless - I always pronounce it “Hor-ZEE” (then again, I pronounce Chick-fil-A Chick “Fill’-AH” - my late father did the same thing! )
