Tall boots that hold up for daily riding!

I also prefer to hack and lesson in tall boots rather than chaps, and have a pair of Challenge Contours that I have been riding in steadily 3-4 times per week for 18 months. I did have to replace the zipper pull but the boot is tight on that leg so that was to be expected. I replaced it with a small leather fob.

I had a pair that lasted me about a year of schooling a few days a week. They started to fall apart really quickly, but with some glue and lowered standards for appearance I got a couple extra months out of them. I picked them up really cheap on TOTD and thank goodness - I do not recommend for full price. Or really any price. They are incredibly comfortable, though.

Likewise I prefer always tall boots, and am a bit lazy about taking care of them. I’m considering getting the Ariat Heritage Dress boots for my next pair… 1) Easier to clean, which means I may do it occasionally. 2) Since zippers, laces are purely decorative anyway. 3) No toe cap, so one fewer seam to split. Thoughts, anyone?
