Teenager and her horse found dead along canal in SE Florida

I saw a different article where it said the girl was not even supposed to have taken the horse out onto the canal.

I’m inclined to think that she may have had the horse out at a gallop or hand gallop, didn’t have a helmet then the horse had a heart-attack, causing him to collapse and her to fall.

Stating that horse and rider were killed is a little misleading. They should say dead, not killed.[/QUOTE]

Well, an accident is still being killed. My first thought was lightning strike because they’re pretty common in FL and even people nearby might miss them, but I suppose that would have been obvious right away.

We’ll find out soon. Sure doesn’t lessen the pain of the loss, though.

That was from the news article.

I too found it a funny way to describe a gelding.

Gosh, this is so tragic, wether or not she was suppose to been on the horse or whatnot, it’s still awful. :frowning:

Ohhh, I see. I saw it in the article but missed the humor. Thanks!

Here’s an article with her picture on the horse. He looks like an Arab to me…

I think that’s just A horse, not necessarily THE horse. That doesn’t look like a QH, and a grey horse named Brownie would be pretty weird too.

The video shows a blurred out overhead shot. The deceased horse is definately a brown or bay.
Such a sad story, I hope both went instantly.
