Even with surgery, Kissing Spine is something that requires lifetime maintenance. They need proper work to maintain the muscle tone in the area, and often times have issues late in life.
The KS alone would take this horse off my list.

I have started a lot of young horses in my life and everyone of them have been really well behaved , no matter what breed they were. I have always felt fortunate about that. I cannot sit a buck.
If horse A doesn’t work out, save that six months of pro training and increase your budget for something without a big strike against it up front.
@outerbanks77 That is a TERRIFIC suggestion! OP needs to shop for a horse WITHOUT issues. They are out there and with a few more dollars she has a bigger pool of horses to look at! Why didn’t I think to mention this before? Ha ha
