Tennessee Walking Horse Soring Issue *Update post 1*
You might want to be a bit careful, here. Accusing a person of a felony, or any criminal act, is generally defamatory per se. Put another way, if you make a wrongful accusation then the only question for the jury when you get sued is “how much?”

And you’ll get to find out how expensive litigation is.

G.
Just asked the question. Didn’t accuse anyone of anything.

I took it as a question, not an accusation.

I think it could be read both ways, hence the caution. Attach a name, any name, and it’s likely to be read one way (and not in a good way for you).

Again, this is warning to be careful with rhetoric. It can can come back and “bite.”

G.

I took what cffarm was saying as a question, there have been many statements, questions made on this board that could very well be twisted into an accusation.

what is wrong with wanting to know if you are in the same barn at a show and someone in that barn is SORING could you get in trouble for not speaking up or if the management knew it and did not speak up could that arena be held in anyway.

in these times its a valid concern for anyone showing TWH.

Didn’t know about the demonstration.

I see alot of the DQPs jumping ship,i sure hope FOSH does make their presents known in SHELBYVILLE,let those town folk know that there is a better way to SHOW your TWH. that ya don’t need to SORE or BEAT a TWH to get that beautiful RUNNING WALK.

Again, the post I commented on could be read both ways. If it were not so I would not have commented.

I don’t like to see folks write checks with their mouth that their bank account can’t cover.

G.

i do not read an accusation in anything, concern for folks who may want to show in these times of many many questions unanswered yes.

now with your twice warning G,i will most certainly request an opinion of my Barrister.

im sure he will tell me that anybody can sue anybody for anything for any reason.

this is a public matter it is in the PRESS,and on the NEWS, on the social network.

greater threats have been made in the south than MOUTH and MONEY.

You seem like an intelligent person, but every now and then post like a complete moron.

Personally, whether you not you ever get sued is something over which I am supremely indifferent. Consider that, then, my warning is for others who might not be so foolish.

Carry on.

what part of my POST was MORONic,G. did i not state fact, anyone can sue anyone over anything the courts are full of these types of cases.

has not this subject of Soring the TWH made the NEWS,Mr.Exum writes of it.
its on facebook.its on youtube. its world wide G.

folks that show, but do not sore their horses want to KNOW,what is going to happen and what is required of them as an honest person who happens to show twh.

If someone has such a lack of a life that they sue everyone who asks questions on a internet forum, I truly pity them. Ain’t America great! Here, let me add, JMHO

Let’s not get off the subject. We are all fighting for the horses.

Why be careful or quiet? Those who sore and abuse the TWH aren’t and nothing happens to them…

Really? I think Jackie might disagree with you.

And the chum is in the water and the sharks are now biting each other.

So maybe “something” is happening.

A former President of France once noted that people should never miss an opportunity to keep their mouth shut. I don’t agree for with former French Presidents on much but I agree on this. Make your point, make it effectively, make it professionally, sit down, be quiet, and then let it work.

Well Jackie hardly meant to get caught. The Lickers have shown they’ll deny the abuse, soring to their dying breath. Silence is why this has perpetuated for 50 years. The chum is indeed in the water, thanks to people speaking out again and again. Hopefully the Lickers will disembowel each other to some extent. “All that is necessary for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing.”

Well, ole Jackie had the internet and news stations against him and someone strong enough to bring it to light. All those before him, kept their mouths shut and it did NOT work for the horses.

this soring and other abuse issues are most definitley not something to make your point about and then shut up. It needs to be in the forefront loud and clear. And over and over and over again.

Jackie the Jerk got caught finially after yrs and yrs of abusing God only knows how many Beautiful TWHs.

we have know way of knowing how many other trainers learned the craft at his side.but as long as this subject stays in the PUBLIC ARENA those other may think twice about who is WATCHING.

The violation LIST is a matter of Public record, anyone can read it, share it, Talk about it.we can ask questions.

WE can connect the DOTS,see who is in whos camp so to speak,

when you find that most of the folks that hold office in TWHSO,TWHNC, TWHBEA ect. have or have had HPA violation,(HPA Violation list is public record) what is your intelligent conclusion.
they are alike in their thinking (soring is NO BIG Deal)its only a horse and the others just want to be part of the CLICK.

Yes there is a war in the Shelbyville Slime Camp, they are worried.more people are learning that its not a natural way of going in those Big Lick Classes.

Anyone else notice the little changes to the TWHBEA home page? Very hard to find a Big Licker in action and when you do it’s from the shoulder’s up and blurred. They used to be all over the homepage. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

They’re trying to improve their image, but sadly, that leopard ain’t changed it’s spots.

From the Shelbyville Times Gazette. Sounds like even in local area support is waning.

‘You are the Celebration’
Thursday, August 2, 2012

Doyle Meadows, CEO, The Celebration
We have several people in our community that are working extremely hard to involve our entire community in a more positive manner in bringing back “Civic Pride” to the Celebration.
Last week, several members of the Board of Directors of the Celebration and I met with the Celebration Association to discuss ways to reunite members of our community to return or experience for the first time the pageantry of the Celebration.

The “Celebration Association” is a group of 50 local business leaders that form the core of the Celebration. Donna Stone, local business leader is directing an Association Committee to have a cash give-away each night of the Celebration.

This group is sponsoring a program called “Steppin into Cash” and will give away $10,000.00 during the Celebration. The money is being sponsored by local individuals and businesses. You will hear much more about this program as we move toward the Celebration.

“Church Night at the Celebration” will take place on Sunday evening, Aug. 26 as local churches will receive free tickets for their members. This project will be directed by Rev. Steve Murphree who has served as Celebration Chaplain and has directed outreach ministry during the Celebration. By the way, the project is just now being established and there is more information to come.

Everyone seems to be catching “Celebration Fever.” The Shelbyville-Bedford County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will be distributing ribbons that can be placed on business doors and service pole banners are being placed on poles in the near future. This program was initiated last year by Harold Segroves and he will continue with these efforts for the 2012 Celebration.

Harold indicated that our streamers on the ribbons will say “You are the Celebration.”

Next week I will share additional community involvement efforts. Don’t forget we will still have plenty of reserve seats and box seats available for the Celebration. We need YOU!!!87
