one year plus

your iPhone lets you know when itʼs time to change the batteries.

and they are AirTag not AirPod

Thank you !

I always hit the parking brake to prevent the roll.

If I’m in reverse, putting it in drive and letting it actually ā€œgrabā€ for a second before putting it in park seems to prevent the roll, if you’re opposed to the hand brake.

I’ll do that next time, thanks. It’s not much of a roll, just enough to be an annoyance.

ETA: I’ve been running my usual procedure over in my head. I’m pretty sure that I’m automatically engaging the parking brake, because I do so in every other situation (checking the mail from my truck, etc.). I don’t like to rely on the transmission to hold the running truck. But I will make certain next time I hook up the trailer that I’m doing so in this situation.

I know exactly what you’re talking about - it’s not just a Ford thing, my Ram will do it too.

Yep. Always squish the parking brake when I back up my truck to the sweet spot. Best invention ever for a Bumper pull trailer was a back up camera. Just have to smoosh the brake. I can get it in one shot. I am the back up queen. I can thread the needle with a bumper pull. Maneuver all around my barnyard like a boss.

With a BP, same! I can stuff those things places they never belonged haha.

Now, short single axle anything, like a yard implement? Forget it, I cant.

Started with a bumper pull because my vehicle was a wagoneer. Graduated to a truck and doing long weekends with 2 horses, 2 dogs and 2 people and loved the gooseneck. Now it’s local trips on little country roads and in and out of small farms and I’m back to a BP. Just depends on how you use it.

lol! I went to a giant barn to pick up a horse. It was a huge operation with a very busy program going on. Riders and vehicles everywhere. Narrow lanes with no real turn around. I pulled in and then threaded myself backwards around several turns to face the entrance out and load up the horse. Owner said ā€œdamn! Would you like a job??ā€
Hand on the bottom of the steering wheel towards the direction you desire and don’t get enthusiastic about it all. Bumper pulls are easy.

I have a tendency to trade trailers frequently, as well as owning multiple goosenecks, which is why I have a flatbed. Plus it makes it super easy to hook up!
