One BCH fan claims that she has been around stallions for years and never used a chain.
Probably one stallion, definitely an extremely docile one, and almost certainly not a Thoroughbred! I spent a lot of time around a Welsh pony who was honestly more gelding than stallion - you could stick him on a trailer with a bunch of mares and trail ride him with them all day (with a little kid on his back) and he was a perfect gentleman. You really can’t claim stallion experience off of a stallion like that one, but I’m willing to bet that’s the situation. People don’t understand that racehorses, like top show horses, are honestly nearly a different animal.
I’m pretty amused that they’ve all turned around from “his heart isn’t in racing anymore” to “he’s the best racehorse ever, I knew he would win!”. Somebody’s telepathic connection needs to be checked for errors
If he’d lost, Martin would’ve just been the greedy, mustachioed villain twirling his mustache while he rolled in a pile of cash and horse carcasses, and poor Chromie his latest victim. I can’t say that he appears to be an easy man to work with, but neither is Coburn, I don’t think (for different reasons).
I would pay some big bucks to see most of these people deal with anyhorse who isn’t a complete saint (under supervision of course!). My smart old pony mare would set them straight in seconds.
