The Fappiano line and the event horse brain
Not to hijack the thread but I am in love with Groomsbridge May I!

Just the type I like. I don’t know if you could stand a 15.2hh TB stallion here in the states – glad he’s siring some horses there.

Back to Fappiano. It seems they are trainable and athletic, but maybe a bit opinionated?

Now interestingly, my mare is a granddaugher of Great Above through her dam’s side, who shares many common ancestors with Fappiano, and also has Mr. P on the top side – she’s also very tempermental (she lets her opinion be known), but athletic and highly trainable.
Thanks he’s a lovely boy and throwing some fabulous stock from a variety of differant mares which are showing great talent.
I have a couple of 5 year olds one of which is still entire and out of 15.3 mares which have grown to 16.2 and 16.3 though.
For this reason they havnt competed yet but should be out this year.

I have a Fappiano/Tasso gelding…grandson of Tasso: African Wildfire

He is amazing…I bought him for my 12 year old daughter. He raced in Chicago (won a few races) and then was retired at 5 and began a new life as a future event prospect in Atlanta. He went through two owners and ended up at a sale barn of a former Olympian. He may not have had Olympic eventer potential but he seemed perfect for my daughter in Hawaii. We shipped him out and he has adjusted beautifully. He just scored a few 70s in his first USDF dressage show with my (now) 13 year old daughter. He won the High Point Trophy for his first Hunter Show with her on his back. He is smart, sensitive, willing to please and quite sane. He is crazy athletic but has the best brain. He totally nails his striding for jumps…He LOVES water…

African Wildfire’s grandfather Tasso is now a ‘pensioner’ in Saudi Arabia…and has met President Obama:
