The "NO REINSTATEMENT" thread.

h) the reason for discussion specific to Paul on this the anti-reinstatement thread has more to do with friends/students of Paul coming on to defend him than with any animus toward him specifically over and above any and all those convicted - the intent of the thread is to make the public aware of the atrocities and to make the USEF aware of the sentiment against reinstatement

That is it in a nutshell.

Harry, How well put and concise that is. I just don’t understand why some people just don’t get it.

are those staying like a burr…or are they the birdflu?

Hey! Don’t change the subject. I know you’re all plotting to divert my attention and steal my Baseball Jesus. Shame on you all!

mwe if you believe that you need a new accountant. Paul Valiere owned Acres Wild Farm a “business” not a hobby. I am certain he took all the appropriate deductions for farmland. And he filed a “C” tax return as a business. The horse was a business investment and subject to all the laws as a business deduction be it a truck, a tractor or a horse it is all property.

Now as a private person who writes off the horse loss for a hobby it would be different. In any cse it was fraud because a hired killer made it look like a natural death an accident. It shows how foolish the mistake and for what he is sorry.

Anyone interested can find my response on the other thread in depth. The substance is the most constructive truism said by saarabeck is that we should not believe what we read. Since all the comments and credits and assertions are not documented in any way I choose to accept that the Mason Phelps Media Group with their bank of expensive lawyers has carefully analyized the Press Releases before they were sent out to the Media.

As sarabeck said,“never believe what you read!” And, I say to you sarabeck there is none so blind as the one who will not see.

USEF Farm Search Results:
6082 SNOWBIRD ACRES FARM SIEGEL, VIKKI; SIEGEL, MARTY LONG VALLEY, NJ ACTIVE

There you go! Show’s you how wrong their records are. Snowbird Acres Farm, is an LLC and doesn’t own the farm at all. It doesn’t carry the mortgage or pay the property taxes or pay the insurance. They haven’t updated the records since we first got that farm number 28 years ago.

I think perhaps we should consider to propose a Rule Change to the effect that if a Convicted Felon who has been suspended re-applies at any time a Notice of such should be published in advance in Equestrian Magazine the Official Publication. The Members should have the right to express their feelings for consideration of the Hearing committee by affadavit.

Or some such wording as reflects to a previous post for notification with which we all agreed.

George Morris complains of the swaybacked, leave early, high crested equitation riders from the 80’s on, and so many credit PV with accolades from this, maybe it’s truely natural selection to pan out the posers who would “kill for it” to the true artists.

…pretty damn spot on…

And all of these things must be proved, as if you were in a court of law. No heresay or assumptions. Having been down this road with another, all the proverbial ducks need to be in order.

I believe it is April 2006

Would it be helpful if concerned horsemen contacted these sponsors on their own and expressed their concern that this person was able to apply for reinstatement?
The idea being: making more noise, and creating an awareness that the digust over what these people did, and the fact that USEF would allow them to apply for reinstatement ever is widespread.

I hadn’t responded on any of these crazy threads - but this was surely one of the most ridiculous things I have read all along. Are they different? Hell yes! In case you need a reminder, abortion is legal in this country. Murdering a horse for insurance fraud is not. And that is only the beginning of the differences. Don’t even go there, “big dawg” - think about what you are actually saying. I sincerely think that few anywhere would value a horse’s life above a human’s - but that is not even what we’re talking about.

My response is not about the PV issue at all - your comment just struck me as absolutely insane.

You seem to think that if it is legal then it is o.k. to do it…no personal sense of right and wrong…if the speed limit says 55 then by God pedal to the metal we will do 55 regardless of the conditions or what otherwise [to someone who is using the thinking part of their brain] appears correct. Sounds like the Nazis are in charge…just pass the law saying it is legal to kill the jews…and it is o.k. to you. You don’t get it.
I knew you liberals were running this petition drive…a bunch of crazed animal rights terrorists. Petitioning is fine if you want to push your point of view. But recognize it is just that…we must follow the Rules, remember. That is what is “legal” here. These folks were suspended for a time, not forever. They, just an any athlete in any sport controlled by the Intl Olympic Committee has appeal and reinstatement rights…you want those rights to kill your baby, but won’e give a lesser right to someone else? Proving my point once again.

Well, I’ve waded through 10 pages of this thread…not enough stamina with the other 101…

However, we have a non-profit called LegUpUSA formed one year ago…

We could help with this cause. We also own our a web server, we could provide a website gratis.

As someone pointed out along the first 10 pages…getting people to the website is the problem.

Maybe we need to make up bracelets (like the Livestrong ones Lance Armstrong’s foundation created to raise money for fighting cancer) that riders could buy - and WEAR - to show opposition to the reinstatement. I am thinking that seeing a bunch of red “DON’T DO IT” bracelets on every exhibitor at this winter’s horseshows would be a h*ll of a statement…

I’ll order 100 bracelets today

PT me if anyone wants to continue down this path.

But doesn’t 704.5 spell out exactly what needs to be done to turn clients over to another trainer without a violation?
And Snowy don’t jump on me, I’m on your side,I’m just asking a question.

And it seems they got their wish.

If only that were true, he wouldn’t be suspended now, would he? Seems his use of gizmos is what got him in trouble. Perhaps you’re right, it’s best if he stays away from them…

Anthem35: please post a link or reference to the correction. For once, I’d like to see the factual proof that a quoted article clearly indicating a current rules violation by PV was in fact an error and was corrected.

If you cannot provide proof, as far as I am concerned, the PR document, as quoted on this thread, is the fact of the matter. If there is a rule violation, the USEF should be taking action.

Your statement that is was corrected is simply not enough. Cite where the correction can be read.

As to your continued postings arguing that PV is truly sorry and has or can change, unless you can prove the correction, I think you have an uphill battle (and I hope the USEF views that HE has an uphill battle) to clearly demonstrate his regret; current rules violations really don’t support regret or changed behavior.

If you would like to see who owns the horse, look it up.

As far as believing every Press Release that comes your way, I’d love to sell you some penny stocks.

Sounds like good logic to me.

If that is something which can be proved, one would think the USEF would take a very dim view of this. As far as the rules go, suspended person’s horses cannot be shown. So, maybe the class was on an Off day? Thus the bend?

Radio…that class is a “recognized” class and has to be held on a “recognized” day

I’m waiting to get paid, too, Paypal balance stunningly less than I thought it was!! Keep the bracelets available, please!

Self-employment keeps on proving itself so much less glamorous than I thought it would be
