The things and the who I missed during the last Olympics (video)

After the last Olympics I just want to remind you how a passage and piaffe should look like :

Enjoy,

My trainer learned me that the piaffe is a passage without going forward. Schritte, halbe schritte, keiner schritte.

Not really, only at the very beginning of training. The piaffe has no suspension, the passage is supposed to have the most suspension of any dressage movement by Gp.

And that’s why I keep breeding back to him. Ferro has one of the best piaffe/passages of all time IMO. Thanks, Theo!

thats what i think. in this video though it is not his best passage.

Yes it was.

Although Ferro complained afterwards that the next time he wanted that the other horses should be removed ;) from the arena

Oh my, Theo!

Oh my stars and the heavens too!

I told you I have a wonderfull project going on right now. Putting thousands of vintage dressage videos on DVD. And as always I will made copies for you.

Ghoosebumps from the video/dvd’s “Rubinstein and his family”. I think that when I’m finished that I have the most complete document about “dressage through the ages”

Ciao

Theo

I rather see his legs stepping under more in passage then just pulling up his hocks. Typical Ferro and typical for his offspring: Prestige, Lorenzo, Mythilus (to a lesser degree). not my cup of tea (at least in the debate of “the world’s best passage”)

Piaffe no comment.

World class passage = Clearwater
World class piaffe = Balagur

Will that include the Dark Ages?

Probably.

But until now I have only gone back to 1984, so I am getting close

Trust me when I get to the part where only men in military uniforms were allowed to ride dressage I will give notice.
