Formaldehyde is pretty common in hoof hardeners although it’s pretty hard to get over the counter due to I think being able to do illegal things with it. I think it’s the active ingredient in Keratex and Durasole. The products add different ingredients to either be better for the hoof wall or the sole.
yep - have the Keratex and it stinks of formaldehyde! Mixing it with Betadine. And a dry-spray Betadine on the frogs. His soles feel like rocks but the problem is how thin…need to get some sole growing but even with a supplement feels as though it takes ages.
