There’s usually an inspection in VA at, (goodness, I’m spacing her name… the lady who owns the stallion Shiffon… LeeAnn? She and her husband are vets?) Anyway, definitely in VA!
Good luck!

This sure seems to be an extreme breeding season with such highs and lows. Congrats to all that have done well and my best to those that have had some very hard luck this year. I have been on both sides of the fence and know personally how each side feels, triumphant highs and the cruel side of Mother Nature. They say everything happens for a reason and sometimes that reason is never known. On the brite side keep those pregnancies coming!!
I’m on the wait list with my TB mare and C Quito, my first time with frozen. I am really crossing my fingers!
On another two week wait with my mare… doesn’t seem to be a great year for her so far.
DLee, C Quito is spectacular. I’ll be crossing my fingers for you for that one!
Elite Rehobeth ( Riverman/Hullabaloojah xx) in foal to Mighty Magic. Love my MM yearling. Hope this foal will be as nice as this year’s Grafenstolz colt who is spectacular…
we found out Ms. Ritmo is in foal to Escapade but unfortunately LuLu didn’t take. So she will go back under saddle when we get to the new farm and we will be on the hunt for a kid that is interested in showing her.
Yeah - waiting to check my Pearlescent mare on July 11 and if all goes well with breeding my Puchi Trap mare this weekend, we’ll be checking her as well at the same time. And will have one more to short cycle off her foal heat, breed around Day 20/21 post foaling and then wait the 2 weeks on her as well
Man - I wish I was done already this year with all of them!
Good luck to everyone!
Two more to add to the two week thread:
Tahiti (Lamentos/Tin Rocco ) to Roi du Soleil.
Aussprache (Licotus/Quo Vadis) to Floriscount.
That is it for us. No rebreeds on these two if they are not if foal.
Adding 2 more to the wait list:
Ditana (2nd attempt 2011) to Rhodes Scholar
Espinette (3rd attempt this year) to Sir Gregory
A little discouraged … as are so many, it seems.
I’ve been a bit discouraged as well. 4 unsuccessful frozen attempts so far. Now waiting on two by my boy Contempo who always comes through for me. Just bred last frozen attempt yesterday. I have had such brutal luck with frozen. Up to 10 tries without a pregnancy, although I think Sunnydays tried 23 times unsuccessfully at the start so maybe I shouldn’t complain.
Waiting on:
Isadora (Galoubet) to Contempo
Galaxi (Graf Grannus) to Contempo (leased to friend)
Martinais (Guidam) to Crespo VDL
Probably try Quick Silver (Quick Star) to Contempo after two negative tries with frozen. Sending good karma to everyone!
Well, we have been hit with breeeding woes as well.
Florabella came up empty on the 30 day check. One more time to Dacaprio.
Donna Castania was not in foal. Back to Hagyard’s for one more time with frozen.
Mirabella is settled with Dacaprio
Sana’a is safely in foal to Benidetto.
I have NEVER had luck with frozen. I sure hope this is the year that breaks that streak.
Congrats to everyone so far who has a bun in the oven!
Rejoining the wait… Cornetta on her second try with Capi.
my two were checked in foal at two weeks but I like to know for sure at day 45 - waiting waiting
good luck all!
Checking Sps ladybug (Londonderry/wittinger/grande) on wed to don Shrufro (2.nd try)
Have half and half luck this year…
Upside, don cavallo mare in germany in foal with frozen to Benidetto
Very excited about that one too!
About the end for me end of July I think
Fingers crossed for all!
Our Brentano II mare checked 2 weeks in foal to Dauphin. Now the “hang on there!” wait begins.
Two of my mares are on round 3. My other mare is on round 2. And I bring my fourth mare in for her first round tomorrow. Gosh darnit, one of them has to get in foal! Granted, I am using all frozen. I am switching the one mare to Harvard so I am assuming that will work right off the get go. I am also glad to hear I am not the only one going in the hole $ …
I should start the “waiting and waiting and waiting with more waiting while going broke” thread
This thread is the reason why I’m so reluctant to try frozen on my 18yo broodmare. She’s taken first time for the past two years with chilled (bless her!) and I don’t want to spoil that. If I did go frozen she’d have to leave the stud where she lives and go to stay at the vets for a week or so. That would probably upset her and then I might be in the waiting and waiting and waiting and slowly going broke club.
I do feel for all of you who are on your 2nd/3rd/4th tries. I hope your next scans all show blobs.
Peggy Sue checked in foal to Romanov this morning! I’m thrilled to my toes, and done for the year.
My wait is over…whew!
Happy to report that my 2 girls are both officially in foal to Cabalito!
Hopeforroyalty - 1992 TB mare in Main Mare Book for Oldenburg NA/ISR. She produced a BIG, fancy filly by Cunningham for me this year and took on her first regular heat (we skipped foal heat) to Cabi. Double ov’d and we have done 2 ultrasounds that both showed just 1 little peanut. Will scan at least once more to be sure. Hope is my “fertile myrtle”.
Rheamorka - 1998 KWPN mare also approved Hanoverian. Had a gorgeous Cabalito foal in April of this year but we sadly lost baby Belle 2 weeks later. :( Cabalito’s owner generously offered me a breeding back to him and Morka checked in foal today.
So thankful for my good mares, a good stallion owner and a good vet!
Fingers crossed for everyone still trying and jingles for safe and healthy pregnancies and 2012 foalings!!

Thank you so much, I think we may need it!
