Legacy was rebred to Don Alfredo on Saturday (2nd try this year)…we’re doing the pregnancy dance and decorating her stall in pink- I want a filly!!
Also, SPS Wega will likely be bred sometime this week to Balou Du Rouet.
Feeling behind as we only have 1 confirmed in foal so far- Romancing Rio (Rio Grande) to Jupiter.
I have a newby question, so how big should embryo be at 19 days? Vet came today and after a few minutes said mare didn’t look pregnant, vet couldn’t find anything. So after my stomach sank, vet saids oh hold on I think I found it, stomach begins to rise again. But then vet said it looked small for 19 days. What is the normal size? Vet coming back in 15 days to recheck, so my fingers are gonna stay crossed till then.
I don’t have the answer to your specific question but I will share story with some relevance.
Mare has 35 follicle and she drops it so we breed post ovulation with frozen… wasn’t sure if it really was “right” on top of it semen was “dead” under the scope, but it was late in year… miscommunication with vet and she is bred with straw of stallion #2 immediately after dead stuff.
She did take, her embryo was small at 15 days. We put her on Regumate and hoped for the best. 347 days from breeding she delivers a 11.3h (yes… that’s right) colt… The mare is just under 16h. DNA came back … it was from stallion #1 (the dead stuf).
Yah just don’t know whats happening in that petrie dish!

No luck with either mare and frozen doses of Charmeur and Benidetto. The mare bred to Charmeur up til now has had 100% conception rates with fresh and frozen (2 each) on the first cycle, but not this time. The mare we tried the Benidetto frozen with has been difficult to get in foal, but did not have any fluid this time, so we were hopeful.
I am pleased to say that Azalia (Anhaltiner E) was bred to Sir Wanabi 16 days ago and we have an embryo!

We check Barbarees Hill on Monday. She got bred to Banderas.
My Schoenfelder/Absolut mare is 33 days in foal to King de Coquerie with a good heart beat!

Sps Felicita was bred back to Sinatra Song. She will be preg checked on July 25th. Vet said he would be suprised if she took. So that wasn’t the news I wanted, but I’ve been lucky before!! Fingers Crossed!:eek:

Thanks! she had twins from Escudo 1 in May that did not survive and it was heartbreaking so I am happy for the 2nd chance to get our Escudo 1 cross!
Just got word that we have 2 Bretton Woods pregnancies - for Franny (second attempt fresh ) and her pasture mate (also on her second attempt fresh). Wish us luck that we have bouncy baby Brettons next year!
Yay! Found out today that Rockette (Reno X Barring) is preggo to Cor Noir (Cor de La Bryere X Marmor).

The queen of twinning did it again {sigh}. Two black dots for our big TB mare Select Dancer at 14 days. Fortunately, the vet was able to pinch easily. Recheck on Monday. Fingers crossed SCF Renaissance (Lux Z-Silvio I-Landadel) baby stays put!

A week from today I get my maiden mare checked for her 14 days. She had a 45mm follicle on one side and 44mm on the other, got inseminated with frozen Sat PM & Sun AM. So if she does like her dam, she will twin. Of course there is the which one do you pinch off? And then does the other make it to the 30 days…
I took her to Select Breeders in Chesapeake City. What a WONDERFUL, HELPFUL group of people. Really took the time to go over everything with me. And when I brought my girl home, she was WHITE (she is normally a flea bitten grey that looks yellow). Her hooves were polished, she was sparkly, happy, well fed and of course, hopefully preg!!!
My girl is Traumerle (Tantris) and we bred her to ES Donavan. I have 2 more doses, but not sure if I want to put myself through this again.
It has been 8 long years since my last foaling (mine & different mare).
I almost feel guilty posting this as so many seem to be having a rough year but I’m excited. My last mare just checked in foal! So 3 for 3 on first try with each. Three different stallions…two frozen and one fresh cooled. I love my vet:) I do feel like maybe I should buy a lottery ticket! Just a lucky year…now hope it stays that way!

Just got the word that my Rolls Royce has 1 black dot growing and moving well!
She had triple ovulated, so they checked Days 14, 16, and 17 just to be sure!
Hoping heartbeat check goes as well!!
