I am waiting too One of my TB mares has been bred to the Trakehner stallion Tribute! Wait wait waitā¦hoping that my three other mares will get bred before the end of this month as well!
Iām still waiting to join the two week wait
Iāve followed my mare through two perfectly normal cycles, pack her up and bring her to the farm to be bred just ahead of when she should be coming into season, and āpoofā⦠slow developing follicles⦠Itās a good thing I love this mare

I know exactly how you feel! My very best (but oldest) broodmare had two great cycles. Bred her on the next one, anovulatory follicle. Same thing the next cycle. Iāve given up on her for now. And then I have a mare who is just now transitional. Its enough to drive one mad!
Another through the two week wait. SPS Riou (Rouletto/ Prince Thatch xx) is in foal to Licotus in Germany.
Two down:
Waverly Place (Houston x Memo) x Escudo II
Safira 9 (Caretello B x Acord I) x Carbon (Contefino x Prinzton
Now only two more to go!
Well we check again yesterday and not in foal, which we all pretty much knew because the semen arrived later than it was supposed to due to the bad storms, but low and behold she was in raging heat yet again and a 35mm follicle! So we ordered semen yet again and she is staying with the vet til it gets here so no running back and forth. Fingers crossed I think we finally timed it right this go around! This breeding mares thing can drive you bonkers, lol!!!
Back in the wait - Bred my mare, Pennantās Valentine (Pennant x Nancy Foster Wolf xx/Medaille dāOr xx) to my boy, Tatendrang (Onassis E x Tanzanzia E/Avignon II). She looked to be ovulating last night with a soft, large follicule so hereās hoping that she catches.
All three of my mares were bred this week.
Lugana (by Lortzing) bred to Rubignon on Tuesday/Wednesday
Dalliance (by Davignport) bred to Gran Casso on Thursday/Friday
EM Atlanta (by Akatschi) bred to Gran Casso on Friday/Saturday
Fingers Crossed!
Congrats, RanchoAdobe⦠thatās exciting! We are on our third two week wait, and all signs point to her being still transitional until this point, so hopefully third time is a charm.

I was feeling lonely, 2 mares, 5-6 weeks, but finally I think one will ovulate Tuesday, fingers crossed.
We just confirmed another, our mare Subrette to Rienzi, and we are checking for Felicita to Sir Wanabi this weekend!
Top Secret was bred to Apiro on Sat!
Iām now tossing around breeding my maiden Kurtaxe (Lordanos/Landor S/Zeus) to Contendro I (with my ONE remaining dose). ooohh, I donāt know if my nerves can take it!
Holly, Good luck with Apiro. He is one stallion that has caught my eye lately. Lovely breeding on your maiden.
WhooHoo!!! Anaconda G (Acord II/Saros) just checked in foal to Baroncelli!!! This was her second cycle, I was getting worried about my new girl, 'cause the semen look super
Add me to the wait - I bred my Holsteiner mare Oohala (Cabaret) to A Fine Romance on Sundayā¦
Bred this week:
SPS Diva (Donnerhall/ Gardeulan) to Royal Prince
SPS Wolkenstanza (Wolkentanz I/ Rohdiamant) to Stedinger (ET)
Rohanna (Rohdiamant/ Freiherr) to Benneton Dream
Uhhh, Houston that is not a black hole on the screen that is a baby!!!
EM Cela confirmed in foal to Catoki. This is the 3rd time with Catoki and I have kept her 2 other fillies.
Good luck to all and congrats to those that have mares in foal.
Removed, not pregnant.
Blah! Well we had 3 checked yesterday.
1st - open and about a week out from being ready to breed, we kinda figured on her. This will be this mareās 3rd try - but sheās an older hard to take mare.
2nd - a huge red flag, was checked bred last year, in Feb vet was joking with us about how HUGE she was, should have been due the next few weeks⦠um yeah - no udder development and looks much smaller than she did in Feb. Enough the vet commented - and confirmed she is open (grrrr) - one last try for the year this next cycle.
3rd - this was the only mare I was just coming off the 2-week wait on, we pasture bred her so just a range - yup about a 18 - 21 day embyro. yay
So 1 out of 3 - not real happy right now. Last year we were 3 for 4 - all 3 took on the first cycle. Go figure - thats the way it goes.
BlueMoon - Yea! on the Catoki pregnancy!
EM Amelia has decided to grace us with a follicle!!! Yea! and Kathy at Equine Repro is on standby for Edelweiss de Bonce!!!
