The yawning horse!

This happens all the time. Yes horses normally do such and such, but my horse is different because he/she does this or that.

Yes they are all different but they are also all the same. With training and knowledge, we realise the exception we have made for this horse is actually not true.

The biggest example I can think of is Mum telling an agister there is something wrong with your horse he steps back when he rolls.

Yes that is normal for him.

Well it maybe normal for him but it is not normal for a horse.

Next she was told that he was walking backwards after rolling.

Yes that is normal for him.

Next Mum told her he was trotting backwards after rolling.

IT IS NORMAL FOR HIM.

She was at Horseland whinging about us and going to move her horse because she was sick of us saying he needs a vet, when she was called to say he was down with colic.

They removed a huge enterolith from his stomach.
He no longer backed after rolling.
