Thinline Grazing muzzle

I attached a BF muzzle to her halter on Friday and so far she is keeping it on. There are some great ideas listed here and wrote them down. Thank you

For keeping a grazing muzzle on - I put a nice fat braid in the mane with a small loop of twine at the base. Then I can clip the crown of the halter so Hoover-man can’t pull the halter and muzzle off. Much easier than the daily braid job - it stays in about a week with no issues (he does have a ton of mane to work with).

My horse wore the thinline grazing muzzle for about a month. Really liked it. The greenguard is too big to fit in our waterers so couldn’t ever try that one. The only reason I’m not still using the Thinline is my horse ditched the halter it was attached to and it hasn’t been seen again :frowning:

my horse got the usual rubs and did the usual removal of the muzzle with the thin line. in fact i think his rubs might have been worse than with the best friends because the plastic edges got sharp.

I have been using the ThinLine since March and absolutely love it! As another poster mentioned, the GG has no chance of fitting in our auto-waterer (Ritchie, Thrifty King with the floats). I was worried about the material being plastic like but it really has more of a rubber feel. My mare doesn’t mind me putting it on each day and the only rubs she gotten are from the halter it’s attached to. I did not trim the ends as they don’t seem to bother or poke my horse and I can re-size the muzzle larger in the future should I need to. The breathability is fantastic and it’s so lightweight. I will hands down order another if this one dies. Happy to provide pictures in use if anyone is interested.
