That is a very nice old pedigree. You won’t see Ambiorix on top of any pedigree any more I don’t think. Multiple Tourbillon is nice…lots of good French TBs that are seen in todays modern Selle Francais jumpers. PatO

There are some good foundation sportlines in that pedigree. Ambiorix/Tourbillon are certainly well known, but Lavendula is x Pharos, another strong line I love, and have used with great success, the Eight Thirty/sir Gallahad/Mahmoud and Ben Brush lines through my foundation broodie, now deceased, but I have her last daughter and her daughter. You will find the Ben Brush line through Traffic in your mare’s pedigree and through another ancestor in there, too as well as another cross on back to Chaucer and Gainsborough - which is the Hyperion line and he is in there as well. Can’t have too much Hyperion or Mahmoud IMO. I believe you see more Ben Brush/Broomstick through John P Grier if you continue back. Bois Roussel is out of the great mare, Plucky Liege, who produced Bull Lea, another wonderful line that was close up in my deceased stallion’s pedigree. He was such a great sire – for racing and sport. Prince John is close up, which gives soundness and stamina, another good sportline. She looks pretty good, top to bottom.

All of the above - but Royal Chocolate , when he stood in BC, was never popular as a sport horse sire. His foals IITC were very attractive but other than one that showed lowish hunters they never set the show world on fire. That being said there were much worse stallions standing way back when.
