Thyro-l need for continued use/side effects

If only having hay at all times insured horses didn’t get ulcers hardly any of them would have them. Certainly no race horses.

Then they have no idea how bute can cause ulcers to form :frowning: It is very well studied how and why bute causes ulcers, and if it were as simple as adequate hay/grass, it wouldn’t be the big deal it is.

I couldn’t figure out how to get to the Yahoo list thing. My internet skills are pretty remedial.i have browsed around on the ECIR page (where there was zero mention of thyro-l.

I hate those yahoo/similar group list things LOL They are cumbersome. But if you go to the ECIR group here, you can probably find good stuff

Thank you for all the replies and advice. I think both of the vets in the practice I’m now using are excellent, but I don’t know if they see many horses with Cushings and IR.

Probably not, which is good for them, bad for you lol Join the ECIR group, or at least use it as a reference. It’s really, really good.
