Great job with orange floof and good luck with the pies!

How is Daisy? Is she still climbing onto your balcony? I  Daisy!

I was reading along from the beginning, thinking yup, I remember those litters a year ago. Then I saw the time jump note in the thread, looked at the date, and realized it started more than a year ago.

So those two foster litters I remember so clearly were two years ago!?!? Where did the time go???

Glad your got your “man.” Balls off buddy. Buh-bye

Those pies look delish but I would so snarf down that blueberry-lemon in a hot second.

Yep! This little sweetheart turned 2 at the end of April!

And mama daisy and I are becoming best buds (on her terms). She loves her private balcony set up and is on deck to become my next house kitty.

Shhhhh don’t tell mr. Batcoach that I let daisy in house when he and BIL are out playing golf!! In true tortie fashion, she struts around like she owns the place.

Was Daisy the wild woman who got loose in your car?

No that was Marlowe. Marlowe is definitely the feral one who wanted nothing to do with me. She is still in the colony but is happy to keep her distance.

Daisy was always the sweeter one who was more open to affection. Now that she knows I give her tasty food and delightful scritches she hangs out on ‘her’ balcony knowing I’m a total sucker and will do her bidding. She lets me pick her up to give her cheek rubs and I even can get a few tummy rubs in when she asks for it.

Although she is a little miffed at me today since I put a topical flea treatment on her yesterday. Much distain and stink eye. She waited by the screen door and meows to get my attention. I walk out with her food and this is usually when the pets and scritches and purrs commence. Not today! She waits for me to put the food bowl down, looks me straight in the eye, and promptly saunters away from me to the opposite side of the balcony and sits under the big aloe plant giving me her back. Apparently I was dismissed! Tortie-tude personified. How dare I put a smelly, yucky goo on the back of her neck! hahaha

Great, now I know why the grey Czar just sits and meows at me until I get up, walk over, and pet him. If I try to walk away he flops like a fainting goat and demands tummy scritches.

Funny moment in this morning’s zoomies: After a few laps he’ll run up and down the cat tree a few times. This morning Tortie was sleeping in the cat tree and he jumped right on her. It was like he banked a jump. Boy was Tortie surprised.

My apologies. I create furry monsters - they look at me and see that I have “slave to kitties” tattooed on my forehead and they know that they have found a mark. Kitty tummies are my kryptonite. Poor Tortie - I am sure she was not thrilled with Nic’s athletic skill interrupting her peaceful snooze.

I’d like to blame you for his hedonism but honestly Nic is just not quite right in the head. What effing cat purrs in the carrier, sits on the scale and purrs in the vet’s office, and is not afraid of the vacuum cleaner? The boy ain’t all there.

A sweet, sweet boy. :two_hearts:

Thomas used to fuzz up and hiss at the vacuum cleaner. :joy:

My family had a cat that LOVED the sweeper!
It was a canister type and he would lay on top of it while it was running. We jokingly referred to it as his “mom”.
He liked having it run on him too, but only with the relatively soft upholstery attachment. Just don’t suck up his tail or his belly fat!

Strawberry Rhubarb Galette took first place in the ‘special diet’ category! Whoo-hoo! I get a blue ribbon and $25 for my efforts  :pie: Glad it was worth it.

Fluff tail aka Renard recuperated well, then took off for a couple of days, but I’ve seen him slinking around recently. Glad his neuter was uncomplicated and he seems to be all healed up. Now he just needs to adjust his non-testosterone attitude so he can get along with the other crew.

Congratulations!! It looked delicious and obviously tasted as good as it looked.

Glad Renard is healing well. Hopefully he’ll be a little nicer soon.

Renard may be more dignified, but Flooftail makes me
Galette looked yummy, but OhEmGee!! That Lemon Blueberry!!!:yum:
Recipes?
I’ve been using a King Arthur No Roll crust, still fine tuning it.
My rhubarb has had a growth spurt :grimacing:
& I love lemon blueberry anything!

Lemon+Blueberry is my favorite combo of all time!

I used this as my base for the gatelle, but added more sugar, a gelatin glaze, and rhubarb

I used this for the lemon+blueberry, but added 1 tablespoon + 2 tsp culinary lavender to the crust since I LOVE lavender
