Elizabeth, I agree with you. I’m sure she’s just sitting at home watching people talk and talk and talk about her. Maybe she even thinks that all these comments about “poor Seger” are sympathy for her. Twisted people can do that. I can twist something spoken into something else, and other people can too, and I do not consider myself disturbed.

There is NO way I will forgive or forget. I think if I could forget I could forgive, maybe, possibly, but there’s no way in hell anyone that was here for the saga can ever, ever, EVER forget.

I don’t think MJ or her parents have learned anything, because I believe I saw on her website a week or two ago that she has a new horse and is still being allowed to care for her paint pony. Let’s all hope this one fairs better than Seger did.

I think that when M_J is ready to admit that her actions (or lack of them) caused Seger’s death, we should welcome her back- and not until then. And I don’t see signs of that happening.

To me, I would want an apology to the board for what she put everyone here through, and, a change on her website reflecting how Seger actually died.

I think that when she is able to face the reality of what happened- that her lack of care caused her horse’s suffering and death- I would be willing to read her posts again.

JMHO, feel free to think whatever you want.

Read the initial posts and found it intesting that what it seems to me–rightly or wrongly I shall not put forth an opinion–both those threads and this are a cry for attention, positive or negative. Granted, MJ is young, but it seems that she feels the BB has “wronged” her. You can be a victim to a situation or you can learn from it–the choice is personal.

You know there is a little thing in life called Responsibility. Responsibility for yourself and your actions. M-J has not taken responsibility for her actions and for murdering her horse. This is inexcusable. But what I would really like to know is where are her parents in all of this?

someone from this community contenues to sign my personal site’s guestbook. to whomever it is, i must say that you are wasting your time. the whole situation is over, the past, done. it was not enjoyable but its done and over with. i have moved on with my riding career and you should move on with your life. i have received TWO bogus posts (one was in a prior guestbook in which the server is no longer up and running) which claim to be from sme type of organization for animal rights. i have contacted both and both have given appologies for the trouble you have caused. grow up already and move on, i left COTH to get away from people who did not need FACTS to destroy the truth, only RUMORS.

If it helps, I just went and ate Girl Scout cookies in your honor. The animal cracker ones, with chocolate on the bottom. I almost ate the entire box, but my math-major roommate (who gave up sweets for Lent) figured out the fat percentages, total grams of fat, and total calories for the entire box and that put me off. She’ll get even with me next time she eats Taco Bell in front of me, though (I gave up fast food… argh!)

There are times, though, when chocolate is simply necessary, I totally agree with that -

Ditto to all the posts respectfully requesting that this child not be allowed to continue as a member of this BB. Sorry Erin, but an open-armed invitation to start reposting under a new screen name is just plain unacceptable in light of this outrageous tragedy.

This a is a community of caring, concerned horse people. We welcome newbies and old pros (really, folks of all stripes!) and are proud of the fact that there is no better place on the 'net to get concise information on a wide range of equine topics. As someone who actively recommends this BB to other horsepeople as a terrific info resource, I do not wish to have its reputation sullied by the participation of obviously delusional, attention-starved, and troubled individuals.

That said – let the child run her own web page in peace – regardless of the disinformation/lack of information contained within it. She has every right to post her fantasies on the web just as we have every right not to view them. But please – keep the integrity of this BB intact!

As I recall from the entire ugly incident with her horse last year, didn’t an adult contact the BB administrators at some point and request to have her access blocked? If yes, can this be done again?

This was one roller coaster I wish I never was on. The betrayal that was felt was just to great. The pain and loss was felt by all.
I can’t forget what happened and can�t welcome MJ back. I wish I could and know that full responsibility was taken and true forgiveness was asked.
