To Whomever Keeps Signing My Guestbook.......

OK folks… I think the point has been made that most members of the BB are not going to welcome MJ back with open arms. And I agree with those who have said this thread is probably just another plea for attention.

I don’t think there’s much else that can be said about this very sad situation. So let’s just let it be.

I liked your site! All the colours were Great!

Waterhorse, it’s not merely “anger.” Rather, it’s complete intolerance. Period, end of story. One of the primary lessons we learn early in life is “actions have consequences.”

Had this been a situation where a mistake had been made, so be it. However, this very clearly was not the case. Nor, apparently has anything been learned or accomplished.

Many people were horribly affected. I, being one, cannot and will not just “forgive and forget” this one. Have any of us made dreadful errors in judgement? Absolutely! Have we learned? God, I hope so. Has this young lady? I think not.

I personally feel that is NOT over and done with, and that emotions still run high about this issue throughout the BB.

I am sorry, but I do not feel that I can welcome Musical Jumper back with the open arms that ErinB has extended. Perhaps I am “living in the past” but the entire incident was highly upsetting (although I did not participate, I did read the entire thread) to me, and I feel that, despite the fact that some “facts” may be “rumours” and vice-versa, there is some truth underlying the entire incident. I will never be able to forgive her for what happened.

Tiffany can do as she pleases. She can murder horses all day long, and we have no say. But DON’T WELCOME HER INTO A COMMUNITY WHICH OPPOSES THAT KIND OF TREATMENT! You’re asking for trouble, and don’t whine when it comes full force.

hi everyone. I’m relatively new here, and I have a question about the mj/seger thing. I had seen a reference to this on another thread as well and was wondering what happened… please fill me in, if at all possible. Everyone seems so passionate about it that you have all perked my curiousity.

Thanks!!

WHY is MJ seeking absolution here- of all places?!
What she did is bad enough, but to come back and tell a group of internet BBers to get over it, is at the least, a wee bit abnormal, doncha think?
Cry for days and then come on, humbled, with a new screenname, maybe. Come on with this much attitude…hoooo…kayyyy…
I’m also one who was absent during the saga, but read it all over last night (like someone else who researched it thru another topic). Although it’d be heartbreaking to lose your horsey pal in any way, certainly we have to assume at least the responsibility of caring for them properly when we take them on!

Big Things Ahead!!

Personally, I agree with whoever said that until MJ can tell us that she was to blame for Seger’s death, I will not accept her back to the boards. Granted, I cannot prevent her from reading or posting here, but I can prevent myself from replying or even acknowledging her existence.

I think that the best thing we can all do is not give her the attention she so obviously wants. Boycott this thread, for example.

MJ- I think it’s quite obvious how the majority of the board feels.

#1- I just wish I could have the same ease of forgiveness that you do. Don’t let anything that anybody’s saying get to you.

I would like to think that we can all forgive and forget. Holding a grudge does no good to anyone.
We have all learned a lesson from what happened with MJ. I’m sure she learned a very graphic one.
I am disappointed with the kids on this forum who refuse to forgive. God forbid that any of you ever make a mistake. Of course that would never happen to you would it?

MJ, I would be happy to see you back on this forum, and we can lose the ones that are so damn intolerant ok?

waterhorse… first, thanks for thinking of me as a kid. Kinda nice for a change (not that I’m that old, but not necessarily a kid anymore).

second… mistake? what that she didn’t take the advice she asked for, that she would lie to everyone about what was going on, or that she killed her horse? Which mistake are you referring to?

third… she learned? Exactly where did you get that impression? That she misses the pity parties here on the bb or that she misses a perfectly good horse (which she has yet to claim responsibility for)?

sorry, I guess i’m just one of those intolerant souls. M_J… “go away kid… ya bother me”.

If most of you are adults, than you should all be ashamed. I’m sorry, but this is a public forum. Not a “clique” as so many of you like to think of it as…No, I take that back, it is a clique At least it’s trying hard to be one.

She is a child, and had little help from her parents.

I am appalled at the response of the so called “adults” on this forum.

Who in the he** made so many of you Judge and Jury?

I am so very dissappointed in the actions of the forum participants.

It really bothers me that so many of you can be SO unforgiving.

Tiffany,
I suppose you aren’t reading this, but if you are, I for one would like to invite you to stay a bit longer.

The incident is over with, you’re right, and we should all get on with it. I think most people have. Whoever is signing your guestbook is immature and not worth your time to post this.

It would be nice to have you back to the BBs.

Suppose, for the sake of argument, that Seger was MJ’s human baby and that this BB was a forum for child care issues.

MJ posts about numerous health problems with her baby, members try to help, offer to send her things, give her advice, etc. MJ continues to post about the situation but there are strange inconsistencies in her story that start to worry the other members. Ultimately, the baby Seger dies from neglect and malnutrition due to MJ’s lack of care. The dire situation that MJ described on the BB is by her own doing. A medical doctor (a DVM euthanized MJ’s horse) sees the ailing baby but cannot save it.

At this point, the authorities are called in. MJ faces serious criminal charges but because she is a minor, she is placed in the care of the state in an attempt to give her the help she needs.

And if the whole baby neglect saga was chronicled on this BB, we would alert the authorities and give them the relevant correspondence. This would not be the first time this has happened in cyberspace.

Allowing an animal in your care to die due to neglect also carries criminal charges. There are numerous precedents for prosecuting these cases; many people have served prison sentences for neglect/abuse of animals and often these people are banned from keeping animals again, as they should be.

Why does this child still have a pony? Why is she telling us she’s ‘moved on with her riding career’? She needs help ASAP. It has gone beyond delusional-child-fantasy time – she watched a horse die an agonal death due to her own neglect and concocted a fantasy version of it on this BB.

I’m sure we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg of this girl’s problems. Presumably she has parents, and as she is a minor, they are equally culpable in this horse’s death. I get the feeling that hers is a troubled family that needs help all around. There are professionals out there – both animal and human welfare agencies – that are trained to intervene in these situations.

Let’s be done with it. Time to get this girl some help – isn’t that what she came here for?

Yes, I do know you love me.

Hey, I wasn’t bashing anyone else’s opinions. Just stating my own. Very forcefully. As usual.

My signature should be fair warning to all of you…

Edited to add: I seem to be losing a quickly-growing battle here with the majority, so hopefully no one will whip out the Cat 'O Nine Tails and flog me for my opinion.

Because I’m PMSing, you know, and I don’t have Midol, chocolate, or a horse to ride…

Just, you know, adding that in.
